My 2 month old pom dog has long nails..how should i clip them?

I just purchased a 2 month old pomeranian and i had some concern with her nails. They cling to every kind of fabric and i dont know if they are too short to cut...i have a dog nail clipper but i dont know if it is the right time to clip her nails or wait a couple months. Any suggestions? My 2 month old pom dog has long nails..how should i clip them?
Clip to just in front of the 'quick' that is the vein you can see in there nails. If she has black nails look on the bottom side of her nails and you should be able to see where the quick ends and the excess nail begins. My 2 month old pom dog has long nails..how should i clip them?
2 months old is the perfect time to start clipping her nails that way she will tolerate it (and maybe enjoy it!) when she gets older. if her nails are clear, it'll be a breeze. lift her paw and put her claw into the clipper. just be careful with the quick (it's the little pink vein inside the clear nail). otherwise it'll hurt her to walk. if her nails are black, you can buy something called the Miracle Coat Quick Finder. you can buy one at this link:

its $27 bucks, but those $27 bucks will help your dogs feet. :].
The dog clippers I purchased have a ';guard'; on them to prevent going back too far. However, being so young, I would call a local groomer and ask. Worst case, just gently file them with a nail file, I wouldn't think that would hurt anything.

Good luck!
I would just use the clipper. But you have to be EXTREMELY careful because they ahve a lot o fblood running deep into their nails. You can see the vain make sure you don't cut it.
You can take her to Petsmart or Petco, they clip their nails for free.
yes petco and petsmart are good, there also are some ohter grroming businesses. if you do not cut a dogs nails in a while, they can get a disease like a hangnail and there paws hurt and osmeother stuff my vet toldme that.
when in doubt about care for your pup including nail clipping , my gal has a baby pom dog and she take baby dog to the vet where they can inform you about care for your dog and even recommend of some dog care facility
