It might be awhile before the pain is completely gone. Depending on how far the nail punctured the skin, puncture wounds are deep and since they aren't exposed to air, the healing process is usually a bit more prolonged than superficial wounds. Make sure you soak your foot a couple of times a day for at least 20 minutes in warm water with some betadine added (if you're not allergic to iodine), rinse and dry well, then apply some antibotic ointment. Leave the area exposed to the air as long as you can (difficult with the foot, I know, but better for the wound). I agree that how long the pain lasts depends on how deep the puncture is. If it's fairly severe now and you have class tomorrow, you may not be able to participate. Use common sense.
